The characters of the देवनागरी (Devanāgarī) script, used for संस्कृतभाषा contain the following vowel-like components :

अ  आ  इ  ई  उ  ऊ  ऋ  ए  ऐ  ओ  औ  अं  अः ।

Another character, which is a similar to the seventh one also exists, but is rarely used now, and hence is unavailable on most keyboards.

The consonant-like characters are :

क    ख    ग    घ    ङ

च    छ    ज    झ    ञ

ट     ठ     ड    ढ    ण

त    थ     द    ध    न

प    फ    ब    भ    म

य    र     ल    व    श

ष    स    ह    क्ष    ज्ञ

The characters have remained unchanged over the millennia even if the order of their arrangement has varied.
